Shawn Maestretti Garden Architecture is now Studio Petrichor!

We gave this historic 1925 Spanish-Mediterranean duplex in Hancock Park a clean, beautiful and green garden for enjoyment and simplified maintenance.

LUSH & SENSIBLE

This client requested a straight-forward, simple and climate-appropriate series of garden spaces. A lush, and drought-hardy front open space of Kurapia (Lippia nodiflora hybrid) replaced a high-water use lawn is framed by Mediterranean-climate shrubs. The rear garden has the same appeal, but includes raised, steel planters for growing vegetables and are surrounded by herbs such as Rosemary and Lavender.
