A Message Of Gratitude

Shawn Maestretti landscape design, hardscapes, and native gardens in California

It’s that time of year to give thanks.

What I love about Thanksgiving is that it does not revolve around the turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry relish or desserts… well maybe some desserts. It is about gratitude, and this year I want to show my gratitude for the people that make our visions a reality… Our Contractors.

For every project we imagine and plan, our Contractors take our ideas and show us how it is built. With the right team, this kind of collaboration will not only help us, the designers, shine, but also bring our Clients such immense joy. Nothing is more exciting than witnessing a project unfold as you team up with your Clients and Contractors and discover alternative solutions to unforeseen obstacles.

Contractors are the women and men that have built our infrastructure, our cities, our homes, and our gardens. We would not have the same quality of life if it was not for them, and that is why this year I tip my hat to them. They are some of the hardest working individuals and receive the least amount of credit.

If you have or had an amazing contractor at some point in your life, here are some ways you can show your gratitude for the very hard work they do on a daily basis.

  • Call or email them to let them know how pleased you are with their work
  • Find the on Google, Yelp, Houzz, or any way to leave them a glowing review
  • Definitely refer them to your friends and colleagues
  • Bake them some cookies or buy them lunch

Shawn Maestretti Garden Architecture wishes you and yours the most amazing Thanksgiving weekend and the coming holiday season.
